A woMAN's Bestfriend

As if she wasn't my bestfriend,
The greatest living pup without her my life would end.
I know she barks the strangers away,
To keep the gentle coming to stay.
Such a precious judgment, I must adore,
For it is her that keeps my feet on the floor.
Love so pure and a smile of gold.
Not a thing could replace her, no materialism sold.

Eyes of light chocolate that sparkle in the sun,
She breaks the silence when there is none.
To her I debate for her sheer brilliance and smarts,
Take a hint from her new species mother,
That she is like no other,
And brightens me above the highest of high
Take advice from her, she never will lie.
